The Christmas holiday is the biggest holiday of the year. But for many, it is an extremely emotional day.

Each year, RFIRN along with many across the Family Law Reform Movement puts on a marathon to honor the children, parent and families impacted by the family, juvenile and probate court systems, some even criminalized simply for exposing the truth. This day, parents, grandparents, life coaches, parental alienation coaches and others from around the world join in to speak on different topics regarding the issues surrounding the system. You will also hear of simple gestures of kindness, positivity and inspiring words of care. The speakers of the marathon are voluntary based, taking time out of their own lives (and away from their families) to come on to share this day with you and to let know that you are not alone. That there is light at the end of the tunnel. This marathon is also to remind everyone that the holiday spirit is more than just about gifts, but also appreciation for what lives within each of our hearts.

Ever year that we have done this, we have had viewers of all over the world toon in. During the marathon, there is a live chat where countless individuals alike share their own heart felt stories and the struggles they are going through. The struggle is real and there is no way to hide the emotions that come with it. This affects everyone in different ways for not every case is the same. However, it’s all the same monster that we are battling. Many also in the live chat give guidance and suggestions to how one can somehow come to cope with during the holidays. We also hear the thoughts and prayers to also include thanks from those who get a glimpse of hope and encouragement to keep moving forward and not giving up.

This year, we are even pleased to announce that we are going to be playing not one, but 3 documentaries this year. We want to let you know that, watching these documentaries could or may trigger some deep emotions. But there is a reason to why we are playing this. For those not directly affected by or know how the system really is, these documentaries breaks it down in the simplest form. The first documentary; “Behind the Gate” by Thomas Lemons, The second Documentary; “Casualties of W.A.R.; Warriors Against the Regime” by Yahya McClain. And finally, the third documentary we have saved for last; “Erasing Family” by Ginger Gentile.

As fillers throughout the marathon, we will also be playing clips of former Georgia Senator of the 50th District, Nancy S. Schaefer. For those who are not aware of who she is/was, Nancy was the only one of her time in a political field who spoke out and exposed the system. She is the author of “The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services. On March 26, 2010, and along with her husband, were found dead in their home. The investigative report state that it was a murder suicide. However, the evidence and testimonies just doesn’t add up. We will get more into Nancy throughout the marathon as well.

There is so much that could be said, and we wish that we could let everyone on to share their stories. But this marathon is for everyone regardless to what inner battles or struggles you are facing.
